Items you must not list

Do not list anything illegal, stolen, counterfeit, recalled, subject to a safety notice, or which you know or reasonably suspect is unsafe. Do not list weapons, controlled drugs, prescription medicines, tobacco or nicotine products, alcohol, pornography, hazardous substances, or products whose sale or supply would breach applicable law.

We may prohibit additional categories or individual products where they create an unacceptable safety, fraud or legal risk.

Baby and children's products

Take particular care with used baby equipment. Sellers must disclose known damage, missing parts, modifications and relevant safety information. Buyers should inspect items before use and check current manufacturer instructions and product recalls.

Car seats may be listed subject to the additional rules below. Recalled baby products and products that have been modified in a way that may affect safety remain prohibited.

Child car seats and bases

Little Loop permits new and second-hand child car seats and their bases only where the seller knows their full history and they meet these requirements. This is permission to list, not a safety certification.

• Do not list a seat or base that has been in a collision, has an unknown history, is damaged, has been modified in a way that may affect safety, has missing safety-critical parts, or is affected by an unresolved recall or safety notice.
• The seat must have a readable approval label for use in the UK and remain within any lifespan or replacement limits specified by its manufacturer. Required labels and identifying information must be present.
• Include the make, model, approximate age or manufacture date, approval-label photos, condition, what is included and an accurate statement of its ownership and crash history. Supply the manufacturer's instructions or a link to the correct official manual. Do not claim that Little Loop has checked or certified the seat.

Important: UK product-safety guidance and RoSPA advise against buying second-hand child car seats. Collision damage may be invisible; photos, a visual inspection and a seller's statement cannot establish structural integrity. These listing requirements do not eliminate that risk.

Before purchase or use, buyers must check recalls and manufacturer guidance, confirm the seat suits their child and vehicle, and obtain fitting advice from the manufacturer or a qualified specialist if needed. If the history or safety is uncertain, do not proceed. Little Loop does not inspect, test or certify car seats, and card-payment protection does not certify or cover product safety. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Before handing an item over

Check that the item matches the listing and that both members agree the price or swap. Where practical, inspect moving parts, fixings, labels and obvious damage. Stop the transaction if something appears unsafe or materially different from the description.

Meeting another member

Arrange handover sensibly. Keep communication in Little Loop where possible, share an exact address only when needed, and avoid sharing unrelated personal information. If you feel unsafe, do not continue the meeting or transaction.

Reports and illegal content

Use the reporting tools or Help and support to report unsafe products, scams, harassment, illegal content or other serious concerns. You can also block another member. Little Loop may remove content, restrict an account, preserve relevant records or make a report to an appropriate authority where required by law.

Product recalls

Members are responsible for checking whether an item is affected by a current safety alert or recall before supplying or using it. If we become aware that a listed item is unsafe or recalled, we may remove the listing and take other proportionate steps.
